LAD #31: Kellog-Briand Pact

Summary:
The treaty between the United States and other countries - written in 1928 in Paris - renounces all war. Countries who signed include the United States, Germnay, Belgium, France, Great Britain, India, Italy, Japan, Poland and Czechoslovakia. Understanding that the rulers are required to protect the welfare of their people and other peoples, renounce war and promise to promote friendly relations. All disputes should be resolved peacefully and orderly. If any signatory does resort to war, they will be denied benefits. After the treaty was made public, other countries joined, including: Afghanistan, Finland, Peru, Albania, Guatemala, Portgal, Austria, Hungary, Rumania, Bulgaria, Iceland, Russia, China, Latvia, Kingdom of the Serbs, Cuba, Liberia, Croats and Slovenes, Denmark, Lithuania, Siam, Dominican Republic, Netherlands
Spain, Egypt, Nicaragua, Sweden, Estonia, Norway, Turkey, Ethiopia, Panama, Persia, Greece, Honduras, Chile, Luxemburg, Danzig, Costa Rica, and Venezuela.
